Abstract: | Hass im Netz verletzt nicht nur die unmittelbar Betroffenen – bedroht ist nicht weniger als die demokratische Gesellschaft selbst. Der vorliegende Sammelband bietet eine umfassende interdisziplinäre Betrachtung verschiedener Facetten des Phänomens "Digitaler Hass". Hierfür werden Erkenntnisse aus Sozial-, Kommunikations- und Medienwissenschaft, Linguistik und Kriminologie zusammengeführt: Kommentaranalysen geben Aufschluss darüber, welche Inhalte Hass hervorrufen und wie sich dieser äußert. Eine Interviewstudie beleuchtet Motive der VerfasserInnen und Auswirkungen auf die Betroffenen.
